Senior Analyst, Quality Assurance – Web
The Senior Analyst, Quality Assurance – Web is responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of our corporate customer-facing and internal web applications.
This role reports to the Senior Director, Brand, Content & eCommerce and partners closely with Product, Engineering, and Platform teams to validate functionality across frontend, backend, and integrations, with a strong focus on preventative quality practices and automation-led testing.
Beyond traditional testing, the QA Analyst contributes to system reliability by validating critical user journeys, leveraging production telemetry, and ensuring applications are observable, testable, and release-ready.
Success in this role is measured by the ability to identify risks early, enable confident releases, and drive continuous improvement in system behavior and performance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Full Lifecycle QA

Own full lifecycle testing across web applications, backend services, and APIs, including functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.

Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, and integration documentation to design comprehensive and effective test coverage.

Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and stakeholders to refine requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure alignment on quality expectations.

Develop, maintain, and execute test cases and test suites in TestRail, ensuring coverage evolves with product changes.

Validate user experience, system behavior, data flows, and critical user journeys across supported workflows and system dependencies.

Identify, document, and prioritize defects based on severity, impact, and risk, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution.

Provide risk-based quality assessments and release readiness recommendations prior to production deployments.

Maintain and execute regression test suites to ensure application stability across releases.

Monitor testing progress and compile clear test reports, including automation coverage, defect trends and summaries and overall quality assessments.

Provide informed recommendations on product quality improvements and release readiness based on testing outcomes.
Automation and Quality Enablement

Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for web, API, and mobile platforms, with a focus on critical business workflows, integrations, reliability, and release quality.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable release cycles.

Continuously expand automation coverage across high-risk and high-impact user journeys.

Validate system behavior pre- and post-release, including targeted production checks where appropriate.

Use test results and system signals to identify reliability risks, regressions, and patterns impacting stability.

Partner with engineering to ensure systems are observable, testable, and resilient to failure scenarios.

Apply observability and monitoring practices to assess system health, including tracking latency, error rates, and application performance trends.

Support reliability engineering efforts by validating service dependencies, critical user journeys, and production readiness through synthetic monitoring and health checks.
QA Process, Collaboration, and Continuous Improvement

Work closely with the QA team to evolve QA processes, standards, and tooling.

Contribute to continuous improvement of quality engineering practices, test strategies, and tooling to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

Ensure consistent use of QA practices that support traceability, repeatability, and transparency.

Communicate quality risks, findings, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Analyze production defects, incident trends, and post-mortem findings to identify gaps in test coverage and implement preventative quality measure.
What You Bring:
-
2-3 years working in a in a QA Automation role.
-
College or University diploma in computer science, technology or relevant certifications.
-
Demonstrated experience in end to end quality assurance for web based applications, including customer-facing and internal systems.

Strong grounding in software testing best practices, including test design, risk-based testing, regression strategies, and integration testing.
-
Proven ability to identify, document, and analyse defects, collaborating effectively with engineering teams to drive resolution and continuous quality improvement.

Hands-on experience with test case management and test execution discipline, ensuring traceability, coverage, and clear testing outcomes.

Required experience contributing to test automation efforts as a core part of the QA role, supporting scalable and repeatable testing practices.

Familiarity with working in Agile or iterative delivery environments, partnering closely with product and engineering stakeholders.

Experience using standard QA and collaboration tools (e.g., test management, defect tracking, and documentation platforms).

Exposure to production system behaviour, including logs, metrics, and traces.

Ability to validate application health and critical user journeys using monitoring and telemetry data.

Understanding of system reliability concepts such as availability, latency, and error handling.

Experience or interest in production validation (e.g., synthetic testing, post-deployment verification.

Programming & Scripting Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, Swift, Kotlin.

Test Automation Frameworks & Tools: Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cucumber, WebdriverIO (WDIO), Appium or equivalent.

Web & API Testing Tools: Postman (or equivalent API testing tools).

Test Management & Collaboration Tools: TestRail, Jira, Confluence.

CI/CD & DevOps Tools: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps.

Cloud Testing Platforms: BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm.

Observability & Monitoring Tools (Nice to Have): Dynatrace, Kibana, Datadog, log and metrics analysis tools.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 CAD
This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week at our temporary 20 York Mills Road, Toronto, Ontario location with travel, as needed, to our the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
