Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, collections, credit reviews, and supporting the company's credit and receivables processes while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and negotiate payment arrangements.
- Review and interpret commercial credit reports, including Equifax, to assess customer creditworthiness.
- Evaluate customer credit applications and recommend credit approvals or adjustments.
- Maintain accurate collection records and customer account documentation.
- Resolve billing discrepancies by working closely with customers and internal departments.
- Initiate and manage collection procedures, including:
- Small Claims Court
- Civil Resolution Tribunal (CRT)
- Land Liens
- Other legal collection measures, when required.
- Coordinate with legal representatives and external collection agencies.
- Prepare accounts receivable aging reports and provide updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of Accounts Receivable and Collections experience.
- Strong experience with commercial collections and account recovery.
- Experience reading and interpreting Equifax or other commercial credit reports.
- Knowledge of Small Claims Court, CRT, Land Liens, and other legal collection procedures.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor Prophet 21, Spire, or similar systems is an asset.
