Job Overview
Express Employment Professionals are looking for an experienced Pipefitter in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of apprenticeship or Journeyman. This role involves working on complex piping systems within manufacturing and construction environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, a solid understanding of schematics, and proficiency with various hand tools. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems
- Perform MIG and TIG welding to join metal components according to specifications
- Install, maintain, and repair piping systems for manufacturing or construction applications
- Utilize calipers, hand tools, and rigging equipment to measure, cut, and assemble materials precisely
- Conduct routine maintenance on piping infrastructure to ensure safety and operational efficiency
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues related to piping and related systems
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Support HVAC, plumbing, and general construction tasks as needed on-site
Experience
- 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of pipefitting apprenticeship or Journeyman
- Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG and TIG welding
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and mechanical drawings
- Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, rigging, and basic math for precise measurements
- Experience with HVAC systems, plumbing installation or repair, and general maintenance is preferred
- Construction or manufacturing background demonstrating ability to work in physically demanding environments
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and perform tasks accordingly
