Job Overview
This position is responsible for claims processing and administration. Also responsible for fulfilling the administrative, audit and accounting requirements with respect to preparing/submitting/reviewing reports, invoices, communication, training, medical record keeping, telephone help desk, and client/customer enquiries. In addition, assisting the Billing Supervisor as required.
Responsibilities
- Financial Process and Reporting
- OHIP billing and claims management and associated reporting
- Follows MOH Policies and Regulations
- Verifies accuracy of billing data.
- AR subledger management
- General Office Administration
- Adhere to Company policies; Code of Business Conduct, Violence and Harassment, Health and Safety, AODA and other such policies currently in force
- Other duties as required
Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of OHIP Claims Administration experience in a high-volume processing unit
- Excellent knowledge of the Ministry of Health Schedule of Benefits, Fee codes, rules and associated audit skills
- Proficient with Medical Billing Software, Practice Solutions EMR, York-Med, Accuro
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
- General Accounting knowledge is an asset
- General understanding of Interventional medicine is an asset.
