JOB OVERVIEW
The Inventory Support position reports to the Inventory Management Supervisor and is responsible for Part Number mastering & data entry, auditing of customer owned material, virtual location structures, inventory audits & reconciliation and special projects related to the management of inventory at KF Aerospace.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Support
-
Creating, monitoring, and closing of system inventory and tooling reports supporting cycle-counting and/or annual stocktaking
-
Analyzing system data against actual results of physical counts supporting stock adjustment transactions, ensuring electronic filing of all reports
-
Classifying inventory (Product/Item Groups) and cycle counting stock based on the applied classification
-
Maintaining Inventory Adjustment Records, all facilities, for representation to Finance (Corporate audit)
-
Maintaining various spreadsheets for Inventory & Tooling counts, Parts Mastering and project reporting
-
Recognition and correction of discrepancies in products, packaging, and contents – preparing labels and validating physical counts
-
Researching discrepancies through resources (people & file traces) and providing feedback to various departments in an effort to avoid future human error
-
Interfacing with External Bases for Cycle Counts & Conducting Base Audits requires:
-
Travel to base locations across the company’s network to perform physical counts
-
Assisting staff with inventory investigations and system errors
-
Adjusting daily inventory discrepancies
-
Investigating and adjusting Time Expired product, at all facilities
Monitoring Warehouse Transactions/Locations
-
Monitoring and actioning PowerBi virtual location reports, ensuring process and transaction effectiveness, for the following:
-
Inventory & Tooling staging locations
-
Problem inventory locations
-
Scrap (SCR) locations
-
Monitoring and actioning PowerBi process reports for the following:
-
Aged DO’s & MRI’s status
-
Inventory Audit Tracking
-
ERP virtual location management, through the utilization of AI tools, for the following:
-
Stock location transfers and/or updates
-
Hard code location updates
-
Responding to adjustment requests for Inventory & Tooling (ie: POS, NEG, PRP, PRN, TXD, TLN, TLP)
Part Number (PN) Mastering & Data Integrity
Ensuring that Part Number (PN) mastering and data integrity is maintained and supports QA requirements by:

Responding to PN mastering requests (Inventory & Tooling) for data entry

Investigating and remastering incorrect PN data (UOM, Item Types, Expiry Date Method, etc.)

Creation and/or updating of services for Tooling
-
Assigning tracking numbers for all new Tooling
-
Maintaining data integrity by removing invalid PN’s when no transaction data exists
-
Establishing new PN relationships to old or incorrect PN with an appropriate replacement type and status to each number
Networking/Communication
-
Assisting and collaborating with other Departments on the correct application of processes required to complete specific IM tasks
-
Collaborating with other Departments to streamline processes for optimal efficiency and accuracy
-
Notifying affected staff of all changes to PN’s that may require re-labeling. (corrections or the addition of an expiry date)
Other duties as assigned

Sheet Metal and Extrusion – Ensuring all items are stocked under correct PN’s as well as the recognizing any mislabeled product

Cost Adjustments – Ensuring that all materials are holding the correct cost based on supporting documentation
-
Special projects and admin duties, as assigned by Inventory Management Supervisor or Supply Chain Manager
REQUIREMENTS
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Supply Chain related role
-
Working towards or have completed an accredited Inventory Management certification
-
Strong accuracy in conducting stocktaking
-
Knowledge and handling of aircraft parts & material an asset
-
Must be detail oriented
-
Ability to accurately complete all stocktaking documentation
-
Strong problem solving, organizational and customer service skills
-
Constantly display a positive, professional attitude toward co-workers, customers, management, and the company
-
Proficient computer skills: M3 (Lawson), MS PowerBI, Excel and Word experience preferred
-
Physical ability to stand for extended periods as this role will involve bending, stooping, reaching, twisting and lifting
-
Must be willing to travel to out bases to conduct annual stocktaking requirements
