My client, a well-established family-owned organization in the manufacturing and services sector, is actively seeking an
experienced Accounting Manager to lead its accounting team. This hands-on role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys managing day-to-day financial operations, mentoring staff, and working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

The successful candidate will oversee a team of four Accounting Clerks and be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all core accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and reconciliations.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Supervise, mentor, and support a team of four Accounting Clerks.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial transactions for accuracy.
- Support inventory accounting and related reporting activities.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with day-to-day financial management activities.
- Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
- CPA designation is considered an asset but is not required.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Comfortable working in a family-owned business environment where collaboration and adaptability are essential.
- Inventory accounting experience is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
