Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Worker/General Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, performing manual labor, and supporting skilled tradespeople on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to follow safety protocols, and a willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic construction environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple facets of construction and building trades.
Duties
- Assist with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople by providing necessary tools and materials
- Operate hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and other basic equipment
- Use power tools safely for tasks including framing, cutting, and assembly
- Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks
- Support installation of cabinetry, flooring, tile laying, and painting projects
- Perform demolition or restoration work as needed
- Read basic blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements (training provided if needed)
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards
- Support heavy equipment operation under supervision when required
Experience
- Prior construction experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific skills
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, or construction estimating is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, masonry, welding, plumbing, electrical work, or flooring installation is advantageous
- Experience in concrete finishing or restoration work is beneficial
- Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus but not required
- Candidates should demonstrate physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads safely
- A valid driver’s license is preferred for site travel and material transportation

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
