Primary Teacher/Teacher Librarian
Part-time (0.5 FTE) position
Eagle Harbour Montessori School
Effective September 8, 2026 until June 30, 2027
The annual salary for a full-time teaching position ranges from $63.347 to $116,190, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The salary will be prorated based on FTE.
Required Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:

Familiarity with planning and teaching a Montessori program, or a willingness to learn.

Proven ability to integrate curricular areas and work in a multi-age setting.

Proven ability and commitment to work co-operatively and effectively with other educators in a collegial team setting.

Willingness to work in a small school and create an environment of flexibility, risk taking and exploration.

Demonstrated ability and experience to plan, teach and assess an educational program building on the goals and outcomes of Ministry curricula.

A clear understanding of the characteristics of early childhood and the ability to develop a positive learning environment addressing the intellectual, physical and emotional needs of this age group.

Proven ability to teach emergent literacy skills through “best practice” strategies.

Competency in and ability to integrate technology into curriculum.

Demonstrated ability to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners through a broad array of teaching strategies and differentiating instruction.

Hold a valid BC Professional Teaching Certificate

Proven effective communication skills with students, colleagues and parents.

Training and or recent successful experience as a Teacher Librarian is preferred.
