Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment
- Fuel vehicles and equipment as required
- Operate heavy equipment when needed (such as loader/excavator)
- Clean tracks on track-type and related equipment
- Perform yard maintenance, including trimming and litter removal
- Operate general site vehicles and equipment such as shunt trucks to backup large
trailers and Roll- off trucks
- Direct site traffic as necessary to ensure safety
- Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial duties
- Work in compliance with Company policies and federal, state/provincial, and local safety
regulations
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- Must meet Company standards for safety-sensitive functions, Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities
- Ability to read, write, perform basic math calculations, and communicate effectively
- Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision
- Ability to safely operate required equipment
- Strong common-sense reasoning and problem-solving skills
Physical & Mental Demands:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift in an outdoor environment up to 90% of the
time
- Must be able to use hands and fingers, kneel, crawl, climb, balance, talk, and hear
- Visual abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds regularly
- Ability to push/move up to 100 pounds with assistance
Working Conditions:
- Frequent exposure to loud noise, humidity, rain, storms, extreme heat and cold
(seasonal), moving mechanical parts, vibrations, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, and
airborne particles
- Work performed outdoors up to 100% of the time
- Routinely works away from branch location throughout the day
- Occasional work in high or precarious places
- Constant exposure to motor vehicle traffic
- Work environment is typically loud
