We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Academic Tutor to support students in Math and English Reading (primarily K-6 level). This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education and helping students build strong foundational skills and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1-on-1 or small group tutoring sessions in Math and English Reading
- Adapt teaching methods to suit students’ learning styles and academic levels
- Prepare and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning materials
- Monitor progress and communicate effectively with parents/guardians
- Support students with school homework or enrichment tasks as needed
Requirements
- Currently residing in Canada
- Language Proficiency: English – Native-like fluency required for teaching English reading and literacy
- Experience tutoring or teaching Math and/or English to children or youth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, and passionate about supporting student learning
- Able to commit to consistent weekly sessions
