Position Summary
Our Emergency Team is on-call 24-hours a day so that when the unexpected happens, we are ready to go the moment our clients need us. As an Emergency Technician, you will work daily with a team to respond to property and contents affected by fire, water and mould. This position pays between $18-$24 per hour, depending on experience.
Typical Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are being followed by your team as well as yourself
- Ensure Company Policies and Procedures are being followed
- Clean & Sanitize structures affected by Fire, Water, Mould, Sewer Back up and Asbestos
- Extract water from flooded properties
- Perform controlled demolition of wet building materials (drywall, carpet, ceilings, cabinets)
- Set up drying equipment on site to reducing drying time and eliminate the risk of mould development
- On site-clean and content manipulation
- List and pack out of affected content
- Processing of content
- Answer property owners questions or concerns
- Daily communication with Crew Chiefs, Project Manager and the Emergency Manager
- Support and participate in continuous improvement activities

- Capable of lifting 90 lbs or more
- Ability to work 7:30 am-4:30 pm and be part of an on-call rotation (overtime when required)
- Have a valid driver’s licence and provide a drivers abstract
- Provide a clear Criminal Record Check
- IICRC certification is an asset
- Restoration or construction experience is an asset (not mandatory)
- Candidates must be able to understand, follow, and communicate work-related instructions and safety information relevant to the position.
This includes the ability to:
- Understand job instructions and safety procedures
- Communicate hazards, concerns, or questions to supervisors and team members
- Participate in training and demonstrate understanding of safe work practices

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
