Safety Manager
Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring a Safety Manager to join our team working at our Steinbach office. As the Safety Supervisor you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to effectively communicate safety protocols across various departments. Responsibilities

Lead and manage the safety team to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns within the organization
- Conduct site inspections, identify hazards, and implement solutions to mitigate risks
- Develop and implement safety programs for employees and contractors
- Investigate and report on all accidents, incidents, and near misses
- Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained and used correctly
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
- Stay up to date with industry safety standards and best practices
- Able to travel to remote sites in Canada
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
- NCSO or equivalent certification from a recognized training institution
- A Class 5 driver’s license with willingness to travel
- Proven experience in a safety management role or similar position
- Experience in the construction field
- Strong knowledge of Canadian safety regulations and standards
- A leader who is relational, collaborative, and confident in their ability to influence others
- Sensitivity and adaptability to different cultures and environments
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
