Job Summary
The Powerhouse Restaurant is seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations and lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining food quality standards, managing kitchen staff, controlling costs, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day kitchen operations
- Lead, train, coach, and develop kitchen staff
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and execution
- Monitor food, labour, and operating costs
- Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving procedures
- Create and maintain staff schedules
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with management to achieve operational goals
- Assist with menu execution and ongoing kitchen improvements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with inventory management, food costing, and labour controls
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Food Handler Certification is considered an asset
Preferred Experience
- Experience planning, executing, and leading banquet and event service for up to 170 guests is considered a strong asset but is not required
