Duties
- Consult with clients to understand their hair styling preferences and recommend suitable treatments or styles
- Perform a variety of hair services including cuts, color, styling, blowouts, and treatments
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health regulations
- Upsell retail products such as shampoos, conditioners, and styling products to enhance client experience and salon revenue
- Manage front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure clients feel valued and satisfied with their experience
- Build lasting relationships with clients through personalized service and communication skills
- Keep up-to-date with the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or similar role in a salon setting
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Knowledge of current hair styling trends, techniques, and sanitation standards
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently and professionally
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively
- Basic retail sales skills to promote products and services
- Experience managing front desk operations or administrative tasks is a plus
- Valid cosmetology or hairstyling license as required by state regulations
