About Us:
Glamour Pets is a mobile pet grooming business that has been serving the Greater Toronto Area since 1999. We are a small family owned business with a positive work environment and great customers. Glamour Pets is adding members to our team.
As a mobile company we move throughout the city to see our customers. The majority of our customers are located within the regions of Markham, Vaughan, and North York. Usually we meet our employees near the subway stop closest to the neighborhood where we will be that day. Appointments are available Monday thru Friday. Our first customer of the day expects us to be ready for them at 8am. We call it a day when we have completed all the scheduled grooming appointments we have booked. The day is usually over by 630pm but sometimes we run late. All for the love of pets.
About YOU:
The preferred candidate will have a G class driver's license and at least 2 years of driving experience. Our insurance provider has a bias toward drivers above the age of 24 years old. The candidate will split their time between shuttling dogs to and from the van by car, as well as working inside the van as a grooming trainee.
As a trainee you will start out mostly bathing and drying dogs. We will add skills to your skill-set as appropriate. You will learn how everything operates up close. Grooming is a labour intensive job, and there is always something to do. Experiencing it all is enlightening and rewarding. We are a small and friendly team. We treat one another like family. This intensity makes the hours fly by, and before you know it the work day will be over and you will be on your way home.
What You Need to Know:
The dogs will look cuter than you at the end of the day!
I’m sorry. You will be covered with fur, splashed with water, and at some point your shoes will step in something that will follow you for the rest of the day. At the same time, you will be covered in dog kisses, forced to cuddle a dog at random times, and have at least a dog nose or two nuzzle your hand for more than their share of attention.

This is a long term position with an immediate start date. This position is NOT appropriate for students looking for a summer job. Qualified College or University level students attending a GTA institution may be considered if they plan to continue working for us year-round.
