Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Concrete Truck Driver to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating concrete mixer trucks to deliver ready-mix concrete to various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, construction safety protocols, and excellent driving skills to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the successful completion of construction and paving jobs.
Duties
- Safely operate concrete mixer trucks to transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring all safety and operational standards are met.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
- Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure timely deliveries aligned with project schedules.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed, including loader operation and equipment handling.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations related to heavy equipment operation and transportation.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the truck and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid 3A driver’s license with appropriate endorsements
- Proven experience operating concrete mixer trucks or similar heavy equipment in a construction environment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to truck maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with construction processes, including paving, concrete forming, and finishing.
- Ability to operate loaders, excavators, and other heavy machinery as needed.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and reliability.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks associated with loading, unloading, and equipment handling.
- Prior experience in construction or paving projects is preferred but not mandatory. This position is vital for ensuring efficient delivery of materials that support our construction projects' success while maintaining high safety standards across all operations.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
