Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Wall Coverings Installer/Painter to join our team. This role involves installing various wall coverings, including wallpaper and specialty finishes, as well as performing residential and commercial painting projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, restoration, and painting, with excellent attention to detail and customer service skills. You will be responsible for transforming interior spaces with precision and professionalism, ensuring high-quality results that meet client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Install wall coverings such as wallpaper, murals, and specialty finishes according to schematics and blueprints
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure proper adhesion of wall coverings and paint
- Perform residential, commercial, and industrial painting using appropriate techniques and tools
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately
- Use hand tools and power tools safely for cutting, trimming, and installing wall coverings and paint applications
- Apply caulking and other finishing techniques to achieve seamless results
- Operate rigging equipment when necessary for high or hard-to-reach areas
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and provide excellent customer service
- Manage time efficiently to complete projects within scheduled deadlines
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting, restoration, or wall covering installation is preferred
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings is a plus
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, carpentry, rigging, caulking, and surface preparation techniques
- Knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial painting standards and practices
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Ability to manage time effectively to handle multiple projects simultaneously
