Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves diagnosing issues, repairing vehicles, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Experience with dealership procedures, welding, and reading schematics is highly valued. The Auto Mechanic will also provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle problems using mechanical knowledge, schematics, and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs including engine work, brake systems, suspension, and electrical components
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and assembly tasks
- Follow safety protocols during all repair activities and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist with vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair needs and estimated completion times
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience, preferably within a dealership or automotive service center
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts handling
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and assembly processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics software is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license required; own set of basic tools preferred
Pay: $23.82-$46.27 per hour
