You are a hands-on, dynamic leader with the ability to energize and inspire the team to take-action and achieve common goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to all areas of the business, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision, mission, and goals.
- Supervise, engage, direct and mentor direct reports.
- Partner with applicable areas of the business including Human Resources, Finance and Communications to properly prepare and execute on business objectives.
2. Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s market presence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
3. Financial Management
- Manage profit and loss statements to ensure financial health and profitability.
- Develop and oversee annual budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
- Conduct financial forecasting and analysis to support strategic decision-making for projects and work being completed.
4. Operational Excellence
- Ensure efficient and effective execution of all projects, meeting, or exceeding client expectations.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and asset management to ensure minimal downtime and operational efficiency.
- Implement and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.
5. Safety and Compliance
- Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all operations comply with safety regulations and best practices.
- Ensure environmental compliance in all projects and promote sustainable practices.
- Regularly review and update safety protocols and training programs.
What qualifications are we seeking?
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with a professional designation. An MBA is considered a strong asset.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience leading an operation, preferably in a comparable role.
- Demonstrated experience improving processes to drive practical business outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of managing financial requirements, deadlines, and priorities.
- Building and fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external.
- Demonstrated ability to spot exceptional talent and nurture the growth of the next generation of leaders for the company.
- Financial acumen with a track record of driving profitability and managing budgets effectively.
- Must prioritize a culture of health, safety, quality, and operational excellence.
