Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Restaurant Staff to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, ensuring food quality and safety, and maintaining a clean and efficient dining environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure all team members excel in their roles. Shifts and hours will be given based on performance. Full training is provided. Food Handlers Certificate is preferred but not necessary.
We are looking for reliable candidates to work closing and weekend shifts.
Prior barBURRITO experience is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Prepare and serve food items according to established standards, ensuring quality and presentation (including the hot and cold tables)
- Preparing and packaging sauces
- Preparation of vegetables (washing, chopping etc.)
- Use of the fryer to prepare items
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Manage cashier duties including processing payments accurately and providing correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, bathrooms and kitchen surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling, storage, and inventory management to minimize waste and ensure freshness (labelling and packing away stock from deliveries)
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and table turnover
- Follow all sanitation, health, and safety guidelines to uphold high standards of food safety
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for new team members
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling, POS transactions, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during busy hours
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food preparation is a plus but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed
- Food Handler Certification is an asset but not a requirement
