Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body & Paint Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repair, painting techniques, and the use of various hand and power tools. Experience in dealership settings and mechanical knowledge are highly valued to deliver exceptional service and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
- Apply paint and finish coats with precision to match vehicle color and texture
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete repairs efficiently
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify additional repair needs or safety concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and uphold dealership or shop standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or Auto Body & Paint Technician, preferably within a dealership setting
- knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as required for panel replacement or parts handling
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Knowledge of automotive painting techniques and color matching skills
- Prior mechanic experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
