Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector specializing in First Article Inspection (FAI) to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring product quality through meticulous inspection, data collection, and analysis. This position requires a strong understanding of quality management principles, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance standards. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for verifying that products meet specified standards and specifications, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.
Primary Responsibilities First Article Inspection (FAI) Specialist
- Lead and coordinate all First Article Inspection activities in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing plans, and customer requirements to determine FAI scope.
- Prepare, complete, and maintain AS9100
- Perform full, partial, and delta First Article Inspections as required.
- Coordinate measurement activities and verification of product characteristics.
- Ensure all FAIR packages are complete, accurate, and submitted within customer timelines.
Net-Inspect Administrator
- Act as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Net-Inspect.
- Create, maintain, review, and submit customer FAI packages through Net-Inspect.
- Ensure all supporting documentation, certifications, and inspection records are uploaded and maintained.
- Liaise with customers regarding Net-Inspect submissions, rejections, and corrective actions.
- Train and support internal personnel on Net-Inspect requirements and processes.
AS9100 Compliance Support
- Support the Quality Management System by ensuring FAI and inspection activities comply with AS9100 requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to First Article and product conformity.
- Assist with corrective action investigations related to FAI findings and customer concerns.
- Maintain inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality records associated with FAI activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing non-conformances and improving process effectiveness.
Technical Review & Documentation
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Review customer purchase orders and quality clauses to identify applicable inspection requirements.
- Verify material certifications, special process certifications, and traceability documentation.
- Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Pay: $26.00-$33.00 per hour
