Autism Primary School Shadow
You have at least 2 years of primary school teaching or EA or shadow experience along with ABA training or special education certification. You enjoy supporting young autistic students to be included and maximize learning opportunities. If you can imagine building strong rapport with a 7-year-old in a school and summer-camp setting, using playfulness, patience, and collaborating with other teachers, this could be your dream job. We are seeking a professional educator to join our team with an openness to receive regular specialist autism training and feedback.
This is a part-time position: School year – four days per week, Tuesday to Friday, mornings starting at 8:30am for minimum 4 hours per day. Summer, starting immediately until September, on four days per week Tuesday to Friday mornings for 3.5 hours from 8:30am to 12:00noon.
The successful applicant will be a credentialed educator or early years assistant with minimum 2 years verifiable by references, reliable and punctual, and open to feedback and training. Our educational approach and style is intentionally loving and playful. We use a range of strategies based in playful socially-focused ABA. A significant benefit is that you will receive professional development training from a Harvard-educated leading autism specialist.
