Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant/Auditor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in conducting finanical audits on not-for-profit corporations, managing accounting tasks, and supporting year end financial statements preparation and corporate tax return filings within the firm. Your expertise will help ensure the accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulations, and the integrity of our clients’ financial and tax compliance operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform ASNPO audits on not-for -profit corpoations.
- Prepare audited financial statements in accordance with CPA's ASNPO accounting standards.
- Prepare and file not-for-profit organization tax rerturns.
- Prepare reports highlighting findings and actionable recommendations for clients.
- Support the accounting team with year-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations using accounting software.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to gather necessary documentation and ensure audit procedures are thoroughly executed.
- Stay updated on industry regulations related to financial services and accounting practices to maintain compliance.
Skills
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools used for auditing and financial management (Caseware, Prifile, Quickbook, Excel, Word).
- Experience with financial audits, compliance procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for report writing and client interactions.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and best practices relevant to public accounting firms.

Pay: $75,470.22-$89,375.31 per year
