EXPERIENCED Concrete Finishers and Laborers NEEDED!
Melrose Paving, located central Mississauga, is looking for:
Concrete Finishers with experience
Concrete Laborers with experience
Duties & Responsibilities
- Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
- Working with flat surfaces including sidewalks, loading bays and curbs
- Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly poured concrete
- Level top surface of concrete according to grade and depth specifications using straightedge or float
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
- Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete
- Ability to use rake and shovel
- Assist in setting up and taking down signs, pylons, caution tape etc.
- Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Must demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policy and safety standards
- Periodic evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime hours are expected
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
