Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Mixed Livestock Worker to join our farm operations. This role involves caring for various types of livestock, maintaining farm equipment, and supporting daily farm activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks in a rural environment.
Duties
- Feed, water, and monitor the health of different livestock species
- Assist with breeding, and other reproductive processes
- Maintain clean and safe animal living areas
- Operate and perform basic maintenance on farm machinery and equipment
- Perform heavy lifting tasks related to feed bags, hay bales, and other supplies
- Be able to pressure wash for hours at a time
- Support general farm chores such as cleaning, sorting, and moving animals or supplies
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge of farm machinery and livestock care is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to animal welfare
- Ability to follow safety protocols and work independently or as part of a team
- Prior experience working with livestock is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
