Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced IV Infusion Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering intravenous therapies, ensuring patient safety, and providing exceptional care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on patient well-being and clinical excellence. The IV Infusion Practitioner will collaborate with medical staff to deliver personalized treatment plans and monitor patient responses throughout therapy sessions.
Duties
- Administer IV infusions accurately and efficiently according to established protocols and physician orders
- Monitor patients during infusion procedures, observing for adverse reactions or complications
- Assess patient condition before, during, and after infusion treatments, documenting all relevant information in medical records
- Educate patients on the infusion process, potential side effects, and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain a sterile environment by following proper infection control procedures
- Prepare infusion medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and handling
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update individualized treatment plans
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries or concerns related to infusion therapy
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, policies, and regulations governing intravenous treatments
Qualifications
- Valid licensure or certification as an IV Infusion Practitioner, Nurse, or equivalent healthcare professional
- Proven experience administering IV therapies in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of infusion techniques, medications, and safety protocols
- Excellent patient communication skills with compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to assess patient conditions accurately and respond effectively in emergency situations
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a healthcare team
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is desirable but not mandatory
