NWI Precision specialize in high-precision machining of nuclear pressure vessel components, helicopter masts, turbine shafts, and engine thrust links for various aerospace applications in the commercial aerospace and military aircraft category.

NWI Precision is currently seeking experienced NDT Technicians.
The NAS 410 Level II NDT Inspector is responsible for performing non-destructive testing (MT & PT) inspections in accordance with approved procedures and NAS 410 requirements. The Level II Inspector shall be capable of setting up and calibrating equipment, conducting tests, interpreting and evaluating results, and documenting findings in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer specifications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform NDT inspections in assigned methods (MT & PT) in accordance with NAS 410 and company written practice.
- Set up, standardize, and calibrate NDT equipment prior to inspection.
- Interpret and evaluate inspection results against applicable acceptance criteria.
- Identify and segregate nonconforming material and notify appropriate personnel.
- Maintain inspection records and calibration verification logs.
- Perform system performance checks and verify continued process control in accordance with applicable process standards and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance, oversight, and on-the-job training to Level I personnel and trainees within the scope of certified methods as directed by Level III.
- Review and ensure compliance with applicable customer codes, specifications, standards, and contractual quality requirements governing the NDT method.
- Develop detailed work instructions and technique sheets derived from approved general procedures, ensuring submission for final approval by the certified Level III.
- Ensure proper organization, traceability, and structured documentation of NDT inspection data in accordance with quality system requirements.
- Apply in-depth understanding of the scope, capabilities, and limitations of certified NDT methods when selecting techniques and evaluating inspection feasibility.
- Interface with manufacturing and quality teams by applying working knowledge of product manufacturing processes and inspection technologies.
- Complete additional projects and responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Level II Certified in MT & PT preferably NAS 410.
- Meets required training, experience, and examination requirements per NAS 410.
- Vision requirements compliant with NAS 410.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant NDT inspection experience (MT & PT).
- Working knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and inspection technology.
- Basic knowledge of aircraft structures, critical components, and where applicable, nuclear-related parts.
- Familiarity with customer-specific process specifications and contractual quality requirements.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate inspection results objectively.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team coordination.
- Ability to organize and maintain accurate inspection documentation.
- Demonstrated leadership capability to guide Level I personnel and trainees.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision within scope of certification.
- Proficient in basic computer applications for documentation and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
