Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Insulator to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining insulation systems in various building projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, safety protocols, and the ability to work with a variety of tools and materials. The Insulator will contribute to the energy efficiency, safety, and overall quality of our projects, supporting both new construction and renovation efforts.
Duties
- Measure, cut, and install insulation materials in walls, ceilings, floors, and pipes according to project specifications.
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine insulation requirements and placement.
- Use hand tools such as knives, saws, drills, and caulking guns to properly install insulation products.
- Perform tasks related to construction painting, plumbing insulation, or welding as needed for project completion.
- Assist with restoration projects by removing old insulation and preparing surfaces for new installation.
- Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment during all phases of installation.
- Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople to coordinate work efforts efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in insulation installation and construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction principles including carpentry, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and flooring/tile laying.
- Experience with caulking techniques and the use of various insulation materials.
- Ability to read technical drawings related to insulation systems and building schematics.
- Knowledge of restoration processes including removal of old insulation and preparation for new work.
- Familiarity with construction painting, plumbing insulation, welding basics, flooring installation, and tile laying is desirable.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined or elevated spaces.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Pay: $61.20-$63.00 per hour
