Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Soccer Coach to join our community sports program. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in youth development, sports education, and fostering teamwork. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young athletes, promote healthy living, and develop their soccer skills in a supportive environment.
Must be available Monday-Thursday 4:30-8:30pm and Saturday mornings 8:00am-11:00am. Some Friday evenings may be required and other days for club events. Advance notice will be given.
Duties
- Plan and conduct engaging soccer training sessions tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Teach fundamental soccer techniques, rules, and sportsmanship principles
- Organize team practices, drills, and friendly matches to promote teamwork and skill development
- Monitor players’ progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Ensure the safety of all participants during practice sessions and games by adhering to safety protocols
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation, confidence, and enjoyment of the sport
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other staff to support players’ growth both on and off the field
- Assist with organizing team events, tournaments, and community outreach activities
Skills
- Strong background in teaching or coaching youth sports with excellent communication skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes while maintaining discipline and focus
- Knowledge of soccer techniques, rules, and strategies suitable for various age groups
- Experience in swimming is a plus, demonstrating versatility in working with children across different activities
- Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working with children of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition in a fun environment
- Commitment to safety standards and creating an inclusive atmosphere for all participants

Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
