Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team in Halifax. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel, ensuring that guests have a pleasant and comfortable experience. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing bathrooms.
- Restock pool towels, ensuring all items are fresh and neatly arranged.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning products as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist with laundry duties as required to support housekeeping operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning and floor care techniques.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with janitorial or industrial cleaning practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
