Office & Administrative Support Assistant

Eligant Group Inc. is a rapidly growing plastics recycling and industrial services company located in Strathroy, Ontario. We are seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Office & Administrative Support Assistant to strengthen our administrative operations.
This position is ideal for someone with excellent Microsoft Office skills who enjoys creating organized systems, improving office processes, supporting multiple departments, and ensuring administrative activities run efficiently. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping build scalable office procedures as our company grows.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to management and office staff.
- Prepare professional correspondence, reports, letters, meeting minutes, and presentations.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.
- Develop and improve administrative procedures, templates, forms, and document control systems.
- Assist with maintaining company policies, procedures, and administrative records.
- Coordinate calendars, appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements when required.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, mail, and courier deliveries.
Microsoft Office & Document Management
- Create and maintain professional Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Build and manage tracking spreadsheets, logs, and administrative dashboards.
- Maintain document version control and organized digital records using Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
- Support data entry and reporting activities with a high degree of accuracy.
Office Coordination
- Order and maintain office supplies and consumables.
- Coordinate vendors, deliveries, and service appointments.
- Assist with purchasing office supplies and operational items.
- Maintain an organized, professional office environment.
- Provide reception support and welcome visitors.
Business Support
- Assist Human Resources with onboarding documentation and employee records.
- Support accounting by organizing invoices, receipts, expense reports, and administrative documentation.
- Assist Operations with document preparation, record keeping, and reporting.
- Help develop efficient office workflows and administrative systems as the business continues to grow.
General Support
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Perform occasional local errands when required.
- Support overall office operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or office support experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft 365 is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence is considered an asset.
