About the Position
As a Client Support Staff member, you will provide compassionate, person centred care to individuals living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
This position provides support through both our In Home Respite Program and our three Adult Day Programs located throughout Windsor and Essex County. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in clients' homes and at any of our program locations based on operational needs.
Whether providing support in a client's home or one of our Adult Day Programs, you will build meaningful relationships with clients and their care partners while promoting independence, dignity, safety, engagement, and quality of life.

- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
- Facilitate meaningful cognitive, recreational, and social activities.
- Support clients in their homes and within community programs.
- Monitor client wellbeing and communicate changes or concerns.
- Complete accurate documentation and reports.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for every client.

Essential Requirements
Scheduling Requirements: This is a permanent part time position with expected hours of 20 to 35 hours per week.
Applicants must be available to be scheduled: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Every other weekend. In addition, must be able to be scheduled up to two evenings per week, based on client needs and program scheduling
Regular daytime shifts are scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Evening shifts may be scheduled until 10:00 p.m. No scheduled shift exceeds eight (8) hours in length.
Additional shifts may be assigned based on organizational requirements and client needs.
Applicants who are unable to meet these minimum scheduling requirements will not be considered for the position.
Qualifications
- Applicants must possess one of the following:
- Registered Personal Support Worker (PSW)
- Registered Social Services Worker (SSW)
- Registered Developmental Services Worker (DSW)
- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
- Nursing student who has successfully completed a clinical placement
- Internationally Educated Nurse (IEN) with previous nursing education and clinical experience
- Equivalent education and experience supporting older adults or individuals living with dementia
Transportation
A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are required. Travel throughout Windsor and Essex County is an essential component of this position. Mileage is reimbursed in accordance with organizational policy.
French language skills are considered a strong asset. Preference may be given to bilingual (English/French) candidates.
Special consideration may also be given to candidates who are available to work in Amherstburg, Belle River, Leamington, LaSalle, Lakeshore, and Tecumseh.
Compensation
Starting wage: $22.63 per hour.
Wage increases are provided after 750 and 1,950 hours worked.
Employees are enrolled in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) beginning on their first day of employment.
