Kelsey Pipelines Ltd. is seeking an experienced Water & Sewer Superintendent to join our team to manage mid to large scale projects in the Western Canada region.

Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain and execute the project plan and schedule and ensures compliance with budget.
- Supervise and coordinate all construction activities.
- Create site specific plans and procedures. Ensures the implementation of Kelsey Pipelines Ltd’s Safety Program to create a safe work environment throughout the job site. Adhere to the safety and record keeping requirements.
- Report all incidents and near misses accordingly.
- Ensure project materials and workmanship meets the project Quality Standards and Design requirements.
- Obtain necessary information from engineers, designers, inspectors, municipal/provincial authorities and owners.
- Advise senior management of potential problems, work interferences and/or schedule difficulties. All while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts; anticipate and resolve project issues and schedule difficulties.
- Direct and maintain relationships with authorities having jurisdiction.
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in a field supervisor/superintendent position
- Intermediate knowledge of the construction industry. Including but not limited to: construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures.
- Ability to visualize the entire project and anticipate construction issues and embed solutions in the plans and schedules.
- An understanding of when to seek out professional advice.
- Ability to lead and assess trade performances on the job.
- Recognize construction issues and address them in a timely manner.
- Create basic schedule, monitor and forecast resources for optimum efficiency.
- Understanding of the project schedule and its critical path
- Ability to manage others and many facets of the construction project and assume responsibility.
- Working knowledge of safety principles/procedures/legislation.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office software, including Excel

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
