Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment operation, automotive repair knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight over short and long distances
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles, perform basic automotive repairs, and report any mechanical issues
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly before transit to prevent damage or accidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with regulations
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
- Assist with warehouse duties such as freight handling and inventory management when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record
- Experience with forklift operation, freight handling, and heavy equipment operation is preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus for vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to commercial driving and freight handling
- Ability to operate within tight schedules while maintaining high safety standards
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and team members
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, lift heavy objects, and perform vehicle inspections as needed
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
