The Revelstoke Paddlesport Association (RPA) is seeking enthusiastic, community-minded individuals to help support and grow paddlesport in Revelstoke. We are currently hiring for two positions: Operations Manager and Paddling Program Coordinator. There is the possibility of combining both roles for the right candidate.

The Revelstoke Paddlesport Association is a vibrant, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to building an inclusive paddling community through recreation, skill development, events, stewardship, and youth programming. From community races and kids camps to Paddle Fest and river conservation initiatives, we aim to foster a lifelong love of paddlesport in the Revelstoke area.
Paddle Program Coordinator
Seasonal Position July 6- August 28, 2026, approximately 30 hours/week
The Paddling Program Coordinator will lead and support summer paddling programming and community events. This role plays a key part in delivering engaging experiences for youth and the broader paddling community.
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for the Canada Summer Jobs Program, including being between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment and legally entitled to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support summer programming, including:
- Kids paddling camps
- Community fun races
- Assist with the planning and delivery of Revelstoke PaddleFest
- Support communications, marketing, and social media content
- Assist with administrative tasks and participant communications
- Work with volunteers, instructors, and community partners
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with youth, recreation programs, or events
- Experience with social media, communications, or marketing
- Interest in paddlesports and outdoor recreation
- Whitewater kayaking instructional certification (L2I2) is an asset but not required
- Hold a valid Class 5 drivers license (or equivalent).
Desired Qualifications
- Whitewater kayaking instructional certification (L2I2) or willingness to obtain
- Degree or diploma in a related field
- Knowledge of paddlesports across multiple disciplines, including whitewater kayaking, rafting, canoeing, and SUP
- CKC L2I1 certification
- Swiftwater Rescue Technician certification
- 40-hour wilderness or occupational first aid certification
Work Environment
This position is based in Revelstoke, BC. Administrative work will be completed remotely and will involve supporting in-person programming and events throughout the summer season.
The successful candidate must provide their own laptop computer, cell phone, secure internet connection, and appropriate workspace.
Compensation & Benefits
- Wage is $25-28/ hour
- Vacation pay: 4%
