We are seeking a RED SEAL Automotive Technician to join our team. Ideal candidate must have a Red Seal certificate, strong mechanical background, and enjoy working on a wide range of cars, light truck, and medium duty vehicles
Duties
-Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including but not limited to oil changes, tire changes/repairs, brake replacements, wheel alignments and A/C repairs
-Diagnose and repair all types of faults, mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles
-Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
-Use hand tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs
-Lift heavy parts or equipment when necessary
Skills
-Ability to maintain and repair all types/makes of vehicles efficiently
-Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems
-Experience working in an automotive repair shop is required
-Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
-Valid BC drivers license to do road tests and have safe driving skills
-Capability to assemble and disassemble vehicle parts as required
-Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks
-Ability to weld and use a cutting torch is a plus
-Willingness to relay information to the customer service team and to the customer when needed
