About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mid-Rise/High-Rise Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of multi-family and mixed-use construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, quality, safety, and overall project performance. This role provides leadership to the project team and serves as a key point of contact for trades, consultants, clients, and other project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee construction projects from pre-construction through completion and turnover.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, costs, quality, safety, and overall project performance.
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to Project Coordinators, Site Superintendents, and other project team members.
- Coordinate project activities with trades, consultants, clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, constraints, changes, and opportunities.
- Lead project meetings and maintain effective communication across the project team.
- Oversee procurement, trade contracting, scope coordination, change management, and financial reporting.
- Monitor project progress and ensure milestones, schedules, and completion targets are achieved.
- Ensure project work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, company standards, and applicable regulations.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Oversee project documentation, reporting, record keeping, and project management processes.
- Support project commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, consultants, trades, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Provide additional leadership and project support as required to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience, preferably with mid-rise, high-rise, multi-family, mixed-use, or other complex construction projects.
- Proven experience managing projects from pre-construction through completion.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, specifications, contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Experience managing trades, consultants, project teams, and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Experience with construction management and project software is considered an asset.
Education
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Equivalent construction industry experience will also be considered.
Working Conditions
- This position is located at our head office and in a site-specific field office. This position requires potential commute to job sites and/or company meetings. A valid drivers license is required
