Bucan Electric Heating Devices Inc. (www.bucan.com) is seeking a foreman fully versatile in GTAW, SMAW, and GMAW/FCAW, proficient in preparing, fitting and welding pressure vessel parts as per CSA B51 and ASME Sect. VIII Div.1.
Your mission
He/she must ensure the smooth running of the department, being a source of know-how for the other welders in the department and participate actively in building pressure vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret plans.
- Identify and prepare materials to be used and ensure traceability.
- Fitting all parts being welded.
- Perform high-pressure welding tasks as per in-house welding procedures on various materials.
- Conduct pre-welding and post-welding inspections to verify quality and ensure compliance with industry standards and codes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area; maintain the welding equipment and tools.
- Lead the production team to meet timelines.
- Supervise and train welders.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in a high-pressure vessel building industry.
- At ease with all welding processes mentioned above.
- Ability to weld metals; 0.030’’ to ½’’ and more.
- Ease to deal with personnel.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of the ASME requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
