We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Consultant to join our team, focusing on Strategy and Business Planning. These roles will play a critical part in shaping public and private sector transformation, helping clients navigate complex challenges and deliver impactful outcomes.
Our national team has deep expertise that is respected and sought after by clients across the country and in all major infrastructure sectors, including conventional power, renewables, transport, water, waste, and social infrastructure. Working at KPMG, you will have the ability to work with our country-wide network of professionals and deliver positive outcomes for our clients on nationally significant projects.
What you will do:
- Work in a dynamic and cross-functional team, with an understanding of operating in an infrastructure delivery, operations, and management context
- Lead advisory engagements including but not limited to:

Multi-criteria analysis of infrastructure solutions for public sector and arms-length entities
- Business case development (including economic and financial analysis)

Economic impact assessments

Strategic planning and organizational transformation

Prepare concise and insight-generating materials, and lead working sessions and workshops with client teams on nuanced and complex topics related to corporate governance, benefits realization, and strategic direction of an organization
- Synthesize complex and sometimes-contradicting interests and inputs from interested parties into executable options or pathways forward
- Ability to quickly identify and articulate client team priorities, and integrate these throughout a planned scope of work

Bring cross-functional and innovative solutions to clients
- Manage project teams and deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction

Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture

Support in marketing and business development including proposal preparation and the development of client relationships
What you bring to this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field (relevant post-secondary degrees considered but not mandatory)

3+ years of relevant experience

Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

A collaborative mindset and a passion for solving complex problems

Demonstrated understanding of public sector governance, policy, and capital planning processes

Experience in strategy consulting, public sector advisory, or infrastructure-related planning leading to tangible results and positive client feedback

Experience in consulting or advisory roles, ideally within a similarly sized professional services firm in Canada or abroad is an asset

Familiarity with infrastructure, capital projects, or public sector transformation is an asset
KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $65,500 to $102,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program
