Senior Designated Accountant:
Zenally is currently recruiting a full-time designated accountant to join our team, with the possibility for advancement to Manager.
The position could be filled by working at either our Red Deer or Innisfail office.
Qualifications
- CPA designation
- 5+ years public practice experience
Job Responsibilities
- Manage various deadlines for files, including bank reporting and tax filing requirements
- Prepare complex Compilation and Review engagements
- Prepare complex Corporate and Personal tax returns
- Assist with tax planning
- Develop working relationships with clients and help them stay compliant with all of their tax filings
- Arrange and present data on schedules, spreadsheets, returns or other work reports using Excel, Word, Caseware/Caseview
- Interact with tax authorities regarding tax discrepancies and client statements of accounts
- Ensure compliance with ASPE and the Income Tax Act
- Manage and mentor junior team members
- Assist partners in managing workflow
- Opportunity for advancement to a Manager role
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of Canadian Handbook Standards
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of business concepts and government regulations, including GST, payroll, and government assistance programs
- Able to meet deadlines in high-pressure environments and multitask while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Proficiency with software such as Caseware, Profile, Excel, Sage, Quickbooks.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, with acute attention to detail
- Keen interest in continued learning and professional development
- Contribute to team success and foster a collaborative work environment
- Results-oriented, organized, prioritizes workload and takes responsibility
- On-site training will be provided as required
Pay Expectation:
· Hourly pay rate between $40-$55/hour, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
