Position: Senior Consultant / Specialist – SAP Group Reporting
Experience: 5+ Years of relevant SAP Financial Consolidation experience
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SAP Group Reporting Consultant with strong expertise in the Financial Services (BFSI) domain. The ideal candidate will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting solutions to streamline enterprise financial consolidation and reporting processes.
The role requires deep knowledge of corporate finance processes, including multi-GAAP reporting, intercompany eliminations, currency translation, regulatory reporting, and financial consolidation, combined with hands-on SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Group Reporting Implementation & Configuration
- Lead end-to-end implementation and configuration of SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting solutions.
- Configure consolidation dimensions including:
- Consolidation Chart of Accounts
- FS Items
- Breakdown Categories
- Consolidation Units
- Ensure seamless integration with Universal Journal (ACDOCA) and ACDOCU tables.
- Design and implement data collection processes for both SAP and non-SAP entities using SAP Group Reporting Data Collection (GRDC).
Consolidation & Financial Reporting
- Configure automated Intercompany Eliminations (ICE) for matrix organizations.
- Set up advanced Currency Translation rules using historical, average, and spot exchange rates.
- Configure consolidation methods including:
- Full Consolidation
- Equity Method
- Non-Controlling Interest (NCI)
- Support compliance requirements related to:
- IFRS 9
- IFRS 17
- US GAAP
- Banking/Insurance statutory reporting
Reporting, Analytics & Integration
- Develop financial reports including:
- Balance Sheet
- Profit & Loss Statements
- Cash Flow Statements
- Work with reporting tools such as:
- SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
- Analysis for Office (AO)
- SAP Fiori Apps
- Integrate Group Reporting with SAP Finance modules including:
- FI-GL
- Asset Accounting
- FS-CD / FPSL (if applicable)
Stakeholder Management & Support
- Collaborate with finance teams, controllers, auditors, and business stakeholders during implementation and UAT phases.
- Prepare functional specifications, test scripts, and reconciliation documents.
- Support migration from legacy consolidation tools such as:
- SAP BPC
- EC-CS
- Hyperion/HFM
Required Skills & QualificationsEducational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Computer Science
- MIS
- Related field
- MBA (Finance), CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
Experience
- 5–7 years of overall SAP Finance implementation experience.
- 3–5 years of hands-on SAP Group Reporting configuration experience.
- At least one full lifecycle implementation or migration project experience.
BFSI Domain Expertise
- Strong experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance industry.
- Understanding of:
- Complex ownership structures
- Joint ventures
- Multi-currency financial consolidation
- Regulatory reporting requirements
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in:
- SAP S/4HANA Finance Architecture
- Universal Journal
- Group Reporting Engine
- Preparation Ledger
- Hands-on experience with:
- SAP GRDC
- SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
- SAP Fiori
- SAP GUI-based consolidation workbenches
- Experience with SAP BPC/BFC/EC-CS is an added advantage.
