Rocksteady Oilfield Services is a growing oilfield fluid hauling company that operates throughout Alberta. With customer service, quality of work, and safety as our focus we are currently looking for a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in the Edmonton area.
Preference will be given to Journeyman Red Seal Mechanics with ISX Cummins engine, hydraulic and T&E pump experience.
The successful candidate should possess the following experience and skills
-Minimum of 3 years hands on experience as a heavy-duty mechanic
-Experience with diagnostic software
-Comfortable with computers and learning new computer/software skills
-Must own and maintain own tools required suitable for heavy duty repairs on trucks and tanker trailers
-Must possess a class 5 license, preference will be given to a class 1 license
-Must have own transportation
-Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
-Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
-Must have valid first aid and H2S tickets
Key Responsibilities
-Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with heavy duty diesel trucks and tanker trailers
-Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy duty trucks and trailers
-Complete daily work orders, reports, inspections and other required documents accurately and on time
-Ensure all repairs comply with company and government safety standards and regulations
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment
-Train and mentor new and apprenticing technicians
-Stay current with new training programs, technology and equipment
