Overview
We are seeking a skilled Counterbalance Operator to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for efficient material handling, inventory management, and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse logistics. The ideal candidate will have experience operating clamp trucks and forklifts, along with a solid understanding of warehouse distribution processes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, accuracy, and mechanical aptitude are highly valued.
Monday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday, with chance to become full-time
Duties
- Operate counterbalance forklifts and efficiently to move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse
- General Labour Duties
- Perform order picking and order fulfillment tasks using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of heavy or bulky items
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation and system updates
- Support warehouse organization by stacking and storing materials according to safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and improve workflow efficiency
- Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and order accuracy
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures
- Ability to perform lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and safety protocols
- Prior experience in warehouse management or distribution centers is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and safety standards
This position requires a dedicated individual with a focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy. Candidates should be comfortable working with heavy equipment and possess the mechanical aptitude necessary for maintaining operational readiness.
Shift: Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm
Part time and can grow to Fulltime
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
