What You'll Do
You will play a key role in overseeing client engagements, bookkeeping, and full-cycle accounting with the accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and oversee work completed by junior accountants
- Prepare and finalize financial statements for monthly, year-end, and client reporting
- Manage full-cycle accounting engagements across a diverse client portfolio
- Prepare and review corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns
- Support compilation engagements and financial reporting requirements
- Participate in audit and review engagements
- Review reconciliations and ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards
- Collaborate directly with partners on client engagements and special projects
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to team members
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting experience
- 4+ years of experience in preparing compilation engagements and T1/T2 tax returns
- 2+ years of audit and review engagement experience
- Advance technical proficiency in:
- QuickBooks
- CaseWare
- TaxPrep
- Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- Strong technical expertise in accounting software for 4+ years
- Previous experience in a public practice accounting environment
- Strong leadership and client relationship management skills
