Job Summary
The Plasma and Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining plasma and laser cutting equipment to produce parts that meet technical drawings and company quality standards. The successful candidate ensures compliance with safety, quality, and productivity requirements.
The company has recently invested in a new state-of-the-art laser cutting machine, providing employees with a modern work environment and advanced manufacturing technology.
Key Responsibilities
· Set up, adjust, and operate plasma and laser cutting machines.
· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
· Program or adjust cutting parameters (speed, power, accuracy, etc.).
· Monitor the cutting process to ensure the quality and accuracy of manufactured parts.
· Perform basic preventive maintenance and equipment cleaning.
· Inspect completed parts and verify dimensions and finish quality.
· Use appropriate measuring tools to confirm part compliance.
· Follow production procedures and occupational health and safety policies.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Required Qualifications
· Experience operating CNC, plasma, or laser cutting equipment (an asset).
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
· Good knowledge of measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.).
· Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Good physical condition and ability to handle production materials (up to 40 lbs).

Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
