Duties
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and troubleshoot problems accurately.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in heavy lifting as required during the repair process or when moving parts and equipment.
Skills
- Proficient in automotive repair with hands-on experience in a dealership or similar environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various automotive issues.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively.
- Ability to read schematics for accurate diagnosis and repair of vehicle systems.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and address their concerns.
- Capability for heavy lifting as needed during repairs or maintenance tasks.
