Toronto Arts Academy is expanding our midtown location and we want passionate violin teachers with academic or professional performance experience to join our award-winning team!
Responsibilities:
- Provide private and occasional group violin lessons to students of various ages and skill levels
- Create individualized violin lesson plans based on students' goals and abilities
- Teach music theory, violin technique, and performance skills
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback for improvement
- Prepare students for recitals, competitions, and exams
- Collaborate with parents to ensure students' success
Requirements:
- Experience in teaching or tutoring, especially with children
- Professional or academic experience in violin (and/or other instruments)
- Strong knowledge of violin technique and music theory
- Ability to educate and inspire students of all ages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching music
- Early childhood education background is a plus
