We are currently looking for an Equipment Setup & Maintenance Technician for our seafood-processing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining food packaging and processing equipment. The shift is Monday-Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Key responsibilities include
- Transport, set up, load, dismantle, and change over packaging and processing equipment
- Securely and safely set up equipment
- Maintain equipment in a state of good repair
- Manage inventory of equipment parts
- Complete equipment documentation
- Support the supervisors with equipment troubleshooting tasks
Skills & qualifications
- 2-3 years’ relevant experience with food packaging and food processing equipment
- 1 year’s experience with reach truck and walkie
- Valid licenses: reach truck and walkie (asset)
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude
- Very strong ability to read technical material, including specifications and instructions
- Excellent computer skills, including Excel
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Interested in and capable of learning
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good spoken and written communication skills
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Team oriented
- Able to read and write English
