With over half a century in the Ottawa plumbing and drain business, Aqua Drain is proud to serve our amazing community. We are a locally owned and operated plumbing business servicing customers and employing 50 people and have over 50 trucks on the road.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a Combo and/or HydroVac Truck or equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform Combo sewer and catch basin tasks, including flushing, cleaning and pumping sewer lines and culverts.
- Perform HydroVac excavation and daylighting tasks
- Safely operate the boom and vacuum system to remove debris and materials
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment
- Complete daily pre-trip inspections and report any equipment issues or maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work tasks
Experience:
- Previous experience operating a Combo or HydroVac truck is mandatory.
- Must be able to drive manual transmission trucks.
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment operation is required
- Ability to read and interpret maps, drawings, and job specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
